Universal feeding machine with 3 feeding stations for optimum ironer application with a high performance per operator.
The Combifeed can process a wide range of articles – from 1 lane processing of bed linen to automatic 1 and 2 lane feeding of table linen where high quality standards are required to 2 lane high performance feeding.
The item is fed into the machine and transferred to the spreading clamps. After measuring the width, it is spread with optimum speed and force, depending on type and width of the item. The vacuum transfer bar accepts
the straight leading edge, briefly stores the item with relation to ironer speed, and then places it with its stored transfer profile onto the Duo vacuum belts. The automatic spreading system combined with the proportional control of the spreading force ensures a perfectly square and straight leading edge and lane centre feeding. Despite its extremely dynamic drives, the machine is notable for its smooth operation. The use of high performance timing belts and a lint resistant rail profile make the drive of the clamp carriages almost maintenance-free.
Articles that can be processed in 2 lane operation ensure optimum ironer utilisation and very high throughput capacity – providing that a powerful feeding technology is available. The Combifeed Trio with HighSpeed Package can process, depending on the article, up to 1600 items/h. This way, high absolute capacity is achieved as well as a high per capita capacity – another step towards increased productivity.
Apart from the excellent leading edge quality, the use of the vacuum transfer bar for intermediate storage results in increased throughput capacity. The spreading clamps can transfer the item immediately after spreading and pick up the next one from one of the three stations. This way, availability of the clamps for the operators is increased. After sensitive spreading, the item is transferred to the vacuum transfer bar. This ensures excellent quality of the leading edge and safe transfer to the transporting belts with Duo vacuum. The high position of the vacuum chute enables good shake-out and long process time.
The package for small pieces enables manual feeding directly onto the perforated feeding belts with vacuum holding function. In this operating mode, due to the automatically lowering of the vacuum chute the pieces also undergo a good shake-out in the vacuum chute.
