    Towel Folder Layouts

    Space saving set ups

Texfinity has experience in setting up towel folders in a way they use as little as possible space. Below different settings of towel folders, that have been implemented in several laundries, are shown. In each case, the set up is compacted by adding additional automation to the towel folder set up.

Set Up 1: Machines aside eachother, one central belt

The 2 towel folders share one central conveyor belt. The advantage is that less space is needed, but also that all piles are at one belt, which makes it easier for futher transport, or for feeding an automatic sealing machine. Both towel folders are interconnected and share information in a way that they will avoid collision of stacks on the central conveyor. Even when changing program, which leads to a complete unloading of both machines, the belts will be driven without collision.

This setup can also be changed to meet the needs in your laundry.

Set Up 2: Machines aside eachother, two central belts

The 2 towel folders have 2 central conveyor belts. The advantage is that with this set up, 2 different clients can be processed simultaneously. The stacks keep being seperated, even after the central conveyor belts.

This setup can also be changed to meet the needs in your laundry.

Set Up 3: Machines in lign with eachother, one central belt

2 towel folders are in lign with eachother. The piles of towels from the Machine Left have to pass via the belts of Machine Right. The coonection belts are also used as grouping and storage belts. By grouping the packages before transfering them, the time used to pass machine Right is limited, so the machine can run at full production, without being slowed down by the passing packages. If machine Right is unloading, and the storage belt 2 is full, Belt 1 is used for additionalm storage which prvents machine Left from slowing down.

This set up can be used in several similar set ups, so it fits in your operation.

Set Up 4: 5 Machines aside eachother, one central belt

This set up is used to safe labour costs. For up to 5 machines, a low cost belt implementation, allows to only use one operator to unload the machines. Due to the use of the central conveyor in the back, all packages are centralized and the space behind the towel folder is limited. This assures a very space saving set up. Of course, also for this setup, adaptations are possible to meet your needs.
